Ehren Haus offers various plastic polishing methods such as flame, buff, and hand polishing for simple to complex plastic parts and components for various industrial applications.
Plastic polishing and buffing plastic are two different processes although they may sound similar. Both processes enable a smooth finish to the surfaces of a part or product. Plastic polishing encompasses lending optical clarity and transparency to the plastic object. This not only improves the aesthetics but also the object’s physical properties. In buffing, an abrasive material is used which superficially cleans and evens out uneven parts on a surface, and helps remove minor dents and scratches.
We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. So, we put in the effort to understand your requirements and design a unique approach, especially for you. The order volume has never been an issue for us. We accept plastic polishing orders even for a single workpiece and deliver it with equal dedication as we would for a bulk order. We are experts in prototyping as well. We offer custom plastic polishing methods to give your product the required finish. Our extremely efficient team can guide you on the selection of plastics, buffing solutions, and other plastic polishing methods if you so require.
What is Our Process?
We accept designs in IGS, CAD, and DXF formats. The designs are analyzed and discussed with the client for clarity. Any design changes are suggested in the initial stages. The prototype building begins after seeking their approval. |

We perform buff polishing with the help of a buff wheel. It can be done on almost all types of plastics. Here are our capabilities.
We offer buff polishing for several plastics such as acrylic, polycarbonate, polyethylene, PVC, nylon, HDPE, composite plastics, and even alloys. We accept your designs. Send your files in CAD, IGS, or DXF formats.
In this method, a chemical electrolyte and current are together used to refine the finishing of a part or product. It removes surface flaws and mitigates the induced stress.
We use good quality buffing compounds and in appropriate quantities. We typically use this process after machining your part to give it the required finish.
To achieve the right finish, we use two buffing methods- cut motion and color motion. Cut motion helps achieve a uniform finish which is low to medium bright. In this method, the workpiece is moved in the opposite direction of the wheel. In the color motion method, medium pressure is applied which enables a glossy or shiny finish to the workpiece surface.
Apart from polishing, we offer coating and CNC, rotary, and laser engraving services as well. Our buff polished edges are soft and have a clean cut. Along with buff polishing, we use sand polishing and a hydrogen/oxygen flame for the edges. The finishing or the level of shine depends upon your application requirements. We offer a mirror-like shine, lustrous shine, matte finish, or a satin or glossy finish.
In this process, we pass an abrasive grain mixture through the internal openings in the part. It enables us to shape and polish the part well without disturbing the geometry. We begin with low-grit abrasives and proceed towards the high-grit ones. We ensure to select the right abrasive which prevents further damage to the part surface. In gritting, the abrasive used is just loosely tied to the buff wheel and not fitted. This makes it easy for us to remove or replace the abrasive when required.
Here are some reasons you can partner with us for your buff polishing needs:
1
With over three decades of experience in CNC plastic machining, flame polishing and various polishing methods, we have gained expertize to understand your requirements and deliver accordingly. We are also capable of offering suggestions based on our experience.
2
The polishing process induces a certain stress on the work piece. However, we are experts in reducing that surface stress by choosing you the best quality of plastics for your parts. Managing the surface stress is important is it would influence your final part or product quality, and we are extremely particular about it.

We offer plastic fabrication and machining services as well, so you can partner with us for an end-to-end solution for your plastic part.
